About the Journal

Journal of Offshore Production Technology and Society (JOPTES) is an international peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal dedicated to advancing research and innovation in offshore production systems, subsea technologies, digital operations, asset integrity, reliability, safety, sustainability, and the interaction between offshore energy development and society. The journal provides an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, engineers, offshore professionals, regulators, technology developers, and policymakers working across the offshore production lifecycle.

JOPTES publishes theoretical, experimental, computational, operational, technological, managerial, and policy-oriented studies concerning floating and fixed offshore production facilities, FPSO and FLNG systems, subsea production, flow assurance, topside processing, digital monitoring, artificial intelligence, predictive maintenance, asset integrity, reliability, risk management, process safety, decarbonization, decommissioning, and sustainable offshore energy systems.

The journal particularly welcomes manuscripts that integrate engineering innovation with operational performance, reliability, safety, environmental responsibility, economic value, regulatory governance, and societal considerations. JOPTES encourages studies from diverse offshore regions and energy contexts that provide clear scientific, technological, operational, or policy contributions.
